On work life…
Where did you go to school, what did you major in?
I graduated from Assumption College in 1986 with a degree in business. I worked as a commercial underwriter prior to coming to work at the Woods Agency.
What’s the very best part of your job and why?
I would have to say the best part of my job is the flexibility that it allows. I previously worked at the Woods agency and left to raise my family and returned a few years ago. It allows me the flexibility to be able to be there for my children when they have appointments are sick etc.
What’s the best piece of advice you can impart to a prospective insurance customer?
The best piece of advice that I can offer to customers is to not be afraid to ask questions about your insurance. There have been many changes such as competitive auto rating and you should be sure that you are getting the best value for your dollar.
What’s the most needed, yet overlooked line of insurance that you’ve seen first-hand that people need?
The most overlooked line of insurance is probably an umbrella policy. There are many circumstances such as having young drivers on your policy or owning property where this coverage is a good value for the cost.
A little more personal…
What’s the very best part of your life and why?
The best part of my life is spending time with my family. We love the outdoors and spend much time as a family hiking, camping, swimming and enjoying many other outdoor activities together.
What’s the biggest adventure you’ve ever been on? Tell us about it.
The biggest adventure that I have been on was a helicopter ride over the beautiful mountains and coast of Kauai, Hawaii. It was amazing!
What’s your hidden talent? Elaborate a little!
My hidden talent is that I love to sew. I have been sewing for many years and make all of my own window treatments. I learned to sew in junior high and in high school, and have been hemming and repairing clothes for my family for years. It saves so much money being able to hem your own pants!
