There were 125,270 motorcycles registered in Massachusetts in 2014. Whether it’s an expression of rebellion or simply another method of transportation all 125,270 of those motorcycles are required to have insurance. The risk of causing an accident and the damage to the motorcycle itself is generally costlier than damages to another motor vehicle. Motorcycle insurance with a standard policy only covers pedestrians but, it does not cover the injuries of the driver or passengers.
